ABOUT QUITO, ECUADOR

Shelter of the first Cultural Heritage of Humanity, Quito, which by far is one of the most popular destinations for tourists or those who decide to go on a student exchange program, is surprising.

Located exactly in half the world, the capital of Ecuador is very safe, and its nightlife is like those of São Paulo and Buenos Aires. A historical narrow street exclusive for pedestrians enchants to all. Charming, it has bars, coffee shops and art galleries in a more colonial style.

Quito is also a region that is very concerned with the needy population. The city has several social actions that encourage the community to lead a healthier life. Most of the time, care for the health, cleanliness and well-being of these people is done by volunteers.

PROJECT DETAILS

Sustainable tourism abroad is perfect for volunteers who believe that tourism should leave a positive impact for everyone involved. You will learn how to leave a low impact on the environment and local culture, while helping to generate employment and fair payment for local people.

You will visit Ecuador as a local, in this way you will be able to learn more about the culture and explore places away from the touristic paths, including visiting the jungle with a guide, learning how to use plants and nature around you to survive.

You will make a difference in your field by bringing people together, encouraging cross-cultural understanding, increasing local development, and protecting the environment. Explore your inner self and fall in love with your profession all over again!
